A refrigeration dryer is a system designed to remove moisture from compressed air by cooling it. It plays a vital role in industrial applications, ensuring that compressed air remains dry and free from water vapour, which can otherwise cause corrosion, damage equipment, and reduce efficiency.

How Does it Works
Delair Refrigeration Dryers operate at high pressure of up to 40 bar. They are based on cooling the air to near freezing point to remove moisture. At nominal conditions, the cold, dry air is reheated by incoming air to approximately 10°C below the incoming compressed air temperature.
The dryer consists of an air drying unit with a centrifugal cum demister pad condensate separator and a refrigeration circuit. The refrigeration circuit consists mainly of a compressor, a condenser, a receiver, a vapour liquid accumulator with liquid refrigerant and an evaporator.
The air drying unit consists of two kinds of heat exchangers: air-to-air heat exchangers and refrigerant-to-air heat exchangers.
